We are Matt & Kirsten
The Hielan Coo Ceilidh Band are Matt on accordion and Kirsten on piano.
Both of us have a lot of experience of playing Scottish traditional music for dancing and our combined experience adds up to over 50 years (mostly down to Matt as he is the old one!)
Both of us are able to call any of the dances we play, but our main strength lies in being able to actually demonstrate the dances and get everyone involved.
This allows us to offer a much wider range of dances than is generally found with other bands offering ceilidh music - lovely dances such as the Social Swing and the John O'Groats Reel.
